In the realm of mobile applications, MirAI embarked on a mission to cater to spiritual and open-minded individuals by offering a unique and personalized tarot card reading experience. MirAI is an AI-powered tarot reading application that provides unique responses and generative imagery to provide a personalised Tarot reading experience.
I worked as a solo generalist designer. I was responsible for the product design, visual design, UX/UI design and the brand design. I was also responsible to research technologies that can be used to achieve the goals.
Fans only use the application for a specific purpose; to buy tickets, get latest news, and stay updated about the games. MAVS want this app to be their fan’s companion and provide a seamless and enjoyable experiences like finding seats, ordering food etc, when attending a Mavericks game.
The initial challenge the users faced was the limited access to personalized tarot card readings. Traditional methods were either in-person or required costly online appointments, creating barriers to accessibility for many potential users.
While there were other tarot reading applications in the market, they provided generic, one-size-fits-all responses, failing to offer the personalization that users craved. To resolve this, we identified an opportunity to harness AI language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Llama 2 for personalized responses, along with image generative models for creating personalized, real-time tarot card images.
Competitive Analysis
We conducted competitive research to gain insights into existing tarot reading applications. This analysis helped us identify the gaps in the market that MirAI could fill. Our goal was to offer a level of personalization that surpassed what competitors provided, setting MirAI apart as a superior choice for tarot enthusiasts.
The Competitive Research highlighted a promising opportunity to develop an app that stands out through its use of cutting-edge AI technology to provide personalized and customized responses. This app can offer various features, including custom decks, multiple card spreads, detailed reading logs, extensive customizability, and the capability to easily share readings on social media platforms.
MirAI's vision was clear: to deliver highly personalized tarot card readings and generative imagery. We recognized the power of LLMs and their ability to generate unique responses. For image generation, we thought about using AI Generative models to generate custom tarot images real-time.
After a series of Design pattern explorations, Wireframes, Low Fidelity, High Fidelity Prototypes, and a number of Iterations I came up with the final prototype.
