World Table Tennis, stylised as WTT, is an organisation created by the ITTF in 2019 that runs commercialised table tennis tournaments. Its inaugural tournament was held in November 2020 in Macao, China (known as WTT Macao). It is distinguished from the ordinary ITTF World Tour by various rules changes and big prize money for commercialised purposes.
World Table Tennis after it’s creation had the next big challenge that was to make “table tennis” as big as the other games and have a digital upgrade for their fan experience. They wanted an application to have a better way to engage with their fans and share updates.
As a UI/UX Designer for World Table Tennis (WTT), my role is to create a user-friendly and engaging digital platform that meets the needs of table tennis fans and players around the world. I work closely with the development team and other stakeholders to ensure that the platform aligns with WTT's brand and mission, and provides a consistent user experience across all touchpoints.
My responsibilities included:

Designing wireframes and prototypes to test and refine the platform's functionality and user interface.

Creating the visual design of the platform, including color schemes, typography, and icons based on WTTs brand style guide.

Ensuring that the platform is optimized for various devices and screen sizes.

Conducting usability testing and incorporating feedback to improve the platform's usability and user experience.

Collaborating with the development team to ensure that the platform is delivered on time and meets all functional requirements.

Testing the platform thoroughly to identify and fix any bugs or issues before launch.
Overall, my role is to create a platform that meets the needs of table tennis fans and players, aligns with WTT's brand and mission, and provides an engaging and user-friendly experience.
World Table Tennis App offers a variety of features to enhance the fan experience and stay connected with the world of table tennis
The launch of the World Table Tennis app marked an exciting milestone for table tennis fans around the world. With the app available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, users can access real-time scores, draws, news, match highlights, and rankings from any WTT event, right at their fingertips.
Since its launch, the WTT app has received positive feedback from users, with new features being added based on user suggestions and feedback. The app's success reflects the importance of providing table tennis fans with a user-friendly and well-designed app that caters to their needs.
With features like live match streaming, player profiles, event information, weekly rankings, and more, the WTT app has become a must-have for every table tennis enthusiast. The app's continuous development and focus on user experience demonstrate WTT's commitment to engaging and connecting with its fans worldwide.
